To νέο instalment της σειράς FIFA είναι και αυτό ένα online free-to-play παιχνίδι με τίτλο FIFA World. Το παιχνίδι θα περιλαμβάνει EA SPORTS FIFA HD console gameplay, το FIFA Ultimate Team και μια βάση δεδομένων 16,000 ποδοσφαιριστών και 600 ομάδων από πάνω από 30 officially licensed leagues, ενώ θα έχουμε τη δυνατότητα και online και single player mode. "Μετά από τέσσερις Closed Beta και μία limited Open Beta, όπου αντικρίσαμε πάνω από 1.5 εκατομμύριο άτομα να κάνουν register για να παίξουν, είμαστε πολύ ενθουσιασμένοι να ανοίξουμε το παιχνίδι σε φίλους του FIFA αλλά και του ποδοσφαίρου από όλο τον κόσμο" δηλώνει ο EA SPORTS FIFA World Producer Alex Grimbley και κάπως έτσι ξεκινά η open beta του τίτλου η οποία διαθέτει υποστήριξη 9 γλωσσών(Αγγλικά, Γερμανικά, Γαλλικά, Ρώσικα, Ισπανικά, Μεξικάνικα Ισπανικά, Βραζιλιάνικα Πορτογαλικά, Πολωνικά και Τούρκικα). Ακόμα, προστίθενται νέες λειτουργίες στο Seasons mode του παιχνιδιού:
